2023 Carrier President’s Award

We are honored to receive the Carrier President's Award for the second year in a row!

Awards are easy to be cynical about, so it is worth explaining what this one actually measures — and why receiving it twice running means more to us than receiving it once.

What the President's Award is

The President's Award is Carrier's top recognition for its Factory Authorized Dealers. It is not a sales trophy. Dealers are evaluated across the whole business:

  • Technical training and certification across the technician team, kept current rather than completed once
  • Customer satisfaction, measured through direct customer feedback
  • Installation quality and adherence to manufacturer specifications
  • Business practices and integrity in how customers are treated
  • Warranty performance — how often work has to be corrected

The customer satisfaction component is the one that matters most to us, because it is the part we cannot influence with effort alone. It comes from what our customers say about the experience after we have left.

Why twice matters more than once

Any company can have a good year. Doing it two years running means the results came from how the business actually operates rather than from a temporary push.

That is the same reason we value having held Factory Authorized Dealer status since 2003. It is re-evaluated. Standards for training, satisfaction, and business practices have to be met continuously, and dealers who slip lose the designation.

What it means if you are a customer

Practically, hiring a Factory Authorized Dealer means the technicians working on your equipment have manufacturer training on that specific equipment, warranty registration and claims are handled properly, and there is an independent check on how the company treats people.

That last one is the useful part when you are choosing a contractor. Most of an HVAC installation is invisible once it is finished — you cannot inspect the duct connections or verify the charge yourself. Third-party accountability is one of the few external signals available to you.

This belongs to the crew

An award like this is not won in the office. It is won by technicians who take the extra fifteen minutes to do the connection properly, who explain what went wrong instead of just handing over an invoice, and who answer the phone at nine on a Sunday night.

To our technicians, installers, and office staff: this is yours. Thank you.

And thank you to our customers

The satisfaction scores behind this award came from you. Every survey response, every referral to a neighbor, every call back to us years after the first job — that is what earned it.
